Michael Powers Kofoid, born December 2, 2001 in Greenbrae California to the parents of Michael and Jennifer Kofoid. Michael resides in Penngrove California with his parents and his younger sister Emily where he currently attends 4th grade at Corona Creek Elementary School. He is an excellent student who loves playing kick board at recess.
Michael's racing career started at the age of 5 in the Outlaw Kart Beginner Box Division, moving into the Box Stock Class at 6, the 250 Intermediate Class at 7 and the Open Intermediate Class at 8. Michael has proven himself and enjoyed success in all divisions. At 9 years old Michael added another chapter to his racing resume, he had some practice time in a non wing sprint car on Monday nights at Marysville Raceway Park. Although he is way to young to race its an excellent opportunity for him to gain valuable seat time and experience not to mention a lot of fun.
Aside from racing Michael is a blond hair blue eyed 10 year old boy who loves to swim, ride his bike, play video games and just be a kid. Oreo Cookie ice cream and white rice and sticky cheese as he calls it would be at the top of his menu list. Two of Michael's best attributes, usually displayed behind closed doors or with the people closest to him is that he is a very caring and sensitive young man.
